• Displaying your financial information within the app
• Generating reports and analytics based on your entered data
• Managing your budgets and expense tracking
• All processing happens locally on your device

3. Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your financial data seriously:

• All your data is stored locally on your device by default
• Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features
• We recommend enabling device encryption and secure lock screen for additional protection

4. Data Backup Options

Ledgerly offers multiple backup options to help you safeguard your data:

• Google Drive Backup (Android): Optionally store your data backups in your Google Drive account. When enabled, your data is transmitted to and stored on Google's servers according to Google's privacy policy.
• iCloud Backup (iOS): Optionally store your data backups in your iCloud account. When enabled, your data is transmitted to and stored on Apple's servers according to Apple's privacy policy.
• Manual Backup: Export your data locally to your device and manually copy it to external storage devices or locations of your choice.

Important: It is your responsibility to choose and configure a backup method. We are not responsible for data loss if you do not use any backup option. When using cloud backup services (Google Drive or iCloud), you are subject to the respective provider's terms of service and privacy policies.

5. App Permissions

Ledgerly requires the following permissions to function:

• Storage access: To save your financial data locally
• Internet access (optional): Required only if you choose to use Google Drive or iCloud backup features
• Google Drive access (optional): Only if you enable Google Drive backup on Android
• iCloud access (optional): Only if you enable iCloud backup on iOS
• No access to contacts, location, or other sensitive information beyond what's necessary for chosen backup services

6. Your Rights and Controls

You have complete control over your data:

• Access all your data directly on your device
• Export your data in common formats
• Delete your data at any time
• No account creation or registration required

7. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy as we improve the app. When we make significant changes:

• We will notify you through the app
• Updates will be clearly communicated
• Previous versions will be available upon request
